John Paul, the Great!

Dear Family and Friends,

I am writing to tell you about a wonderful new internet campaign that will publicly acclaim our dearly departed Holy Father as JOHN PAUL THE GREAT.

As you may know, only two Popes in history have ever become known as “The Great.” The first was Gregory the Great (d. 604) and the second was Leo the Great (d. 461).

I have come to know that this only ever happens by public acclamation. The title “Great” is not given by the Vatican. It is only given by the public acclamation, by you and me.

Did you know that at his funeral the people there in St. Peter’s Square were actually chanting “Magnus, Magnus, Magnus” meaning “Great, Great, Great.” It IS happening already! And you can help.
